BreedLens ("the App") is a mobile AI-powered pet breed identification app developed by Colson (operating as ColsonSuperApps). This Privacy Policy explains what data BreedLens collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Key Point: BreedLens is designed with privacy in mind — pet photos are processed via AI and are never permanently stored on our servers.
Information I Do NOT Collect
- Real names or personal identification
- Email addresses (unless you contact support)
- Phone numbers
- Precise location data (GPS)
- Contacts or messages
- Financial information (payments handled by app stores)
- Biometric data
- Health data about you (pet health info is breed-generic, not personal)

Pet Photos
- Photos are sent to Google's Gemini AI API for breed identification (PRO users only; free users use on-device AI).
- Photos are processed in real-time and are NOT stored on any server after processing.
- On-device TFLite processing (free users) never leaves the device.
- Scan history (breed results and image file paths) is stored locally on your device only.
Advertising (Free Users Only)
BreedLens displays ads to free-tier users via Google AdMob:
- Banner Ads: Small ads at bottom of screens
- Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads between screens (max 1 per 60 seconds)
- Rewarded Video Ads: Opt-in ads to unlock premium content temporarily
- Native Ads: In breed encyclopedia feed
- App Open Ads: On app launch (max 1 per 4 hours)

Subscribe to BreedLens PRO to remove ALL advertisements. Choose the plan that works for you:

Cancel anytime through Google Play or App Store.
Note: Subscription prices are subject to change. Any price changes will be communicated in advance through app store notifications before your next billing cycle.
Personalized Advertising
Ads may be personalized based on your device advertising ID. You can opt out via:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable for BreedLens
Data Storage & Retention
- Scan history: Stored locally on device, deletable anytime
- Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default)
- Crash reports: 90 days (Firebase Crashlytics)
- AI cache (breed reports, food safety): Stored locally on device, auto-expires
- Purchase records: As required by law (typically 7 years)
